Slovak Translations of go-oo

Dear go-oo developeres,

My name is Branislav Klocok and I am the leader of Slovak localization
team of OOo. It was brought to my attention by one of the Slovak users
of go-oo that the Slovak translation are not 100% up to date and I
would like to ask you what is the process here in go-oo concerning
translations? Do you take translations only from the OOo (which
sometimes in not updated for Slovak since we are using a different
build system) or you are having a another process?

Hi Branislav,

Until recently translations came from two sources. One was the
upstream source code of OOo. The other source was ooo-build repository
which contained the extra strings (difference between upstream and
go-oo). Probably the process will be different with LibreOffice.

Now you can check the extra strings here:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/build/tree/po

Please check what is not up to date. Upstream translation? Which
milestone? ooo-build-sk.po? Then you can find out what needs to be
done.

Hello Andras,

I have updated the Slovak translations in upstream, so this might
solve the issue of the go-oo outdated translations.

Taking a look at the files in the reprository below I have some
questions:
ooo-build-sk.sdf are these the translations from upstream?
ooo-build-sk.po what is this file?
sk.po what is this file?

ooo-build-sk.sdf contains the strings coming from go-oo patches. These
patches are either used or not used in a particular distribution but
it is the best to translate all of these strings. Upsteam does not
contain them.
ooo-build-sk.po contains the same strings as ooo-build-sk.sdf but in
gettext po format. There are conversion scripts from sdf to po and
vice versa, so you need to translate only one of them.
sk.po contains the strings of the desktop files that are used by Linux distros.

Note that this approach will probably be used only for 3.3 release.

The community around Go-oo joined the community around LibreOffice.
There are plans to create pootle server for all the strings used in
LibreOffice... Go-oo developers believe that most Go-oo features will be
accepted for LibreOffice sooner or later and Go-oo will not longer be
needed. In each case, Go-oo developers want to focus on LibreOffice.
