Are fonts bundled with the install?

Does OOo install any fonts to the computer when you install it? Extra fonts
that were not already pre-installed by the user or the OS? If it does
install fonts, how difficult would it be to add another font to the list?

It is possible. KAMI does it with its OxygenOffice build based on
ooo-build. We do it with the Novell Windows build. We do not do it with
the openSUSE Linux packages because it is not systematical.

Fox example, KAMI integrates the Magyar Libertine fonts by
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/ooo-build/ooo-build/tree/patches/dev300/magyarlinuxlibertine-fonts.diff. Plus there are few lines in ooo-build/{configure.in,download.in,bin/unpack}

Hi!

One note, the font integration in OOo 3.3 has changet, the patches do
not reflect this. I will update it soon. OxygenOffice also uses another
method for font integration. This is something like a mass integration
because on option enables a dozen font integration.

Would it be possible to bundle the Charis SIL fonts with the install?

http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=charissilfont#2f2e1057

It works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. If I knew how to integrate fonts (or
program), I'd do it myself. Thanks!

Hi Jeff!

I will put these fonts to the OxygenOffice packaging process. I hope it
is a right solution for you. Are you building OpenOffice from GO-OO or
you want to use the font packages provided by me via OxygenOffice?

Hey Kami--I don't know how to build anything from source. :( But I mainly
use the GO-OO version. Sorry I can't be of much help. :(
